Cookie POLICY

We use cookies to better understand how our visitors use the Site. Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters stored in your computer, mobile or other internet-connected device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are used by most websites to facilitate certain types of functionality and usability of the website, including remembering you the next time you visit but do not include any Personally Identifiable Information by themselves (for example, they do not store your name or address). Each web site can send its own cookie to your browser.
You have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. However, please note that if you reject some or all cookies, some areas of the Site will not function properly and if you do so, your experience on PROJECT AWARE may not be complete. In addition, if you do not allow cookies, you will not be able to take advantage of any personalized content delivery offered.
We use cookies on PROJECT AWARE to passively collect demographic User Information, personalize your experience on the Site and to support some necessary functions. Also, we use cookies to deliver content, specific to your interest and to monitor website usage. PROJECT AWARE uses cookies to persist certain anonymous data from visit to visit and tell us how and when our visitors use the Site. We may use cookies to provide future automatic login, and personalize your experience or to help us improve the Site by analyzing and estimating our traffic and use of features on the Site. We do NOT link cookie information to Personal Identifying Information.
We do NOT use any kind of "pixel tags," to monitor the use of the Site and collect User Information about your visit, including the pages you view, the links you click and other actions taken in connection with the Site and do NOT use them in combination with our cookies to provide offers and information of interest to you.
To find out more about cookies and how you can disable cookies in your web browser or for more information, please refer to your browser’s help menu or support website. There are many other third party services and web sites that may place cookies in your browser. Please note that this privacy policy covers the use of cookies by the PROJECT AWARE only as we cannot control third-parties’ use of cookies or compliance with their respective privacy policies. You acknowledge that, so you use external services at your own risk. We reserve the right to use cookies for additional purposes in the future and shall then update these in this cookie policy.

At the time this policy was written, the types of cookies used on PROJECT AWARE include:
(A) Personalization
These cookies are used to recognize return visitors to PROJECT AWARE so the site can remember your preferences. For example, cookies save you the trouble closing notification windows if you have closed them during a previous visit as these windows will not be opened and cookies could indentify your language and switch to your preferred language autmatically.
(B) Google Analytics
Similar to most websites, we use analytics to improve user experience and PROJECT AWARE’s functionality. We use external services, including but not limited to Google Analytics, to provide real-time reporting of, among other things, anonymous data concerning the use and navigation of the site and our authorized agents. Among other things, this reporting includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect, or track any users’ Personal Identifiable Information. If you do not wish your use of the site and our authorized agents to be recorded in this way, please visit the Google website for instructions on how to opt-out.
PROJECT AWARE uses an anonymized version of Google Analytics to gather and aggregate general information about user behavior. Google Analytics may use this User Information for the purpose of evaluating usage of the site, compiling reports on site activity for us and providing other services relating to site activity and internet usage.Google Analytics may also transfer this User Information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the User Information on Google Analytics’ behalf. To the best of our knowledge, the User Information gathered by Google Analytics on PROJECT AWARE’s behalf is collected in such a way that neither PROJECT AWARE, nor Google Analytics, can easily trace saved User Information back to any individual user. We also respect “Do Not Track” browser settings. Please be aware that there may be other services that you are using and that are not controlled by PROJECT AWARE (or the Google family i.e. Google, Google Chrome Web Browser, Android Operating System, and YouTube, etc.) that may continue to send User Information to Google when you use the Site, even if you have asked us not to send User Information through our services.
